This is something I've waited for decades to own...a Highwaymen concert. The CDs are great sound quality and because they are live, it's very easy to just get lost in the music as a continuous song. There are some interviews that are fun and reveal personalities and little tidbits about the four men's relationships over the years. The best part of this set is the concert disk. It is worth the price of the set. To see these icons interact and have fun playing and singing with each other is wonderful. It is evident how much they enjoyed playing together.
I as well have been waiting decades for this.
Like Kris Kristofferson said this is as good as it gets. Got to be the best set list of all time.
The energy, they all bring is second to none.
Today's bubble gum pop millenials should watch this to see how it's done.
They all take turns at their greatest hits, they all shine individually, but sing along, total fans of each other. They known when to sing along, and when to be silent & just watch.
I found myself tearing up an a few songs as Johnny Cash sings the final line on Sunday Morning Coming Down, or Willie's Always on My Mind.. Waylon lights it up with his guitar on Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way. Kris is awesome on They Killed Him. Willie's Night Life is mind blowing. Ragged Old Flag brilliant Johnny Cash!
This is as good as it gets.
