Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs
1.) Description (Editorial Reviews)
This was the first full length cartoon from Disney. It was a massive smash hit. A friend of my fathers went a theater to see it 22 times he was so fascinated by it. I am so pleased that it has been brought back. I find myself humming the tunes often. It really was a miracle of talent when you stop to realize that each movement was completely drawn by hand. No computers. No electronic mumbo jumbo, just real talent and artistry.
2.) Special Features
This is the first movie I remembered going to when I was about 3 1/2 years old, back in 1952. My parents took me to see the movie, and when we left, my mother came to realize she had to get to the hospital, as my younger brother was about to be born. I'm sure I was taken to other movies earlier, but this is the first I remember heavily because of what happened. So, I recently decided to order the Blu-Ray copy from Amazon, and it's still so wonderful it made me feel young watching it. And, besides that there are many extra articles about it, being Walt Disney's first full-length animated movie of all time. And there are lots of videos of Walt Disney back in the day. It's amazing that Disney was told it wouldn't do well as a full length animated movie, and even back in the day, during the great depression, it was heavily watched by millions of adults and children, and it's what made Walt Disney one of the most popular people of that time.

Customer Review :
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a classic film that is one of my all time favorites. Walt Disney's first full animated feature film its an artistic masterful achievement. The film was a great triumph in 1937 and is still a great triumph today, nearly 73 years after. Aside from being the first animated film and the one that paved the way to the creation of the Disney empire as we know it today with dozens of many animated films in its catalogue most of them redeemed as classics today, Snow White happens to be a fantastic film. It has a great plot, a great story with great characters, music and heart. This makes this film as fresh as it was in its original theatrical release so many years ago. Disney has always treated this masterpiece as such and in 2001 it was release as a 2-Disc Platinum edition DVD. This DVD was the best of the Platinum line and one of the best DVDs ever produced. Disney again does the film justice releasing it now as part of the Diamond line in Bluray and the results are better than ever.
Snow white looks fantastic in hi def with vivid colors, sharpness and a clean transfer. The Platinum looked terrific but Disney topped themselves with this new transfer. Absolutely marvelous. The DTS MA 7.1 is also very crisp and clear but don't expect it to rock your house. Nonetheless, is a great audio. Purists will be glad that the original mono track has been also restored and included here.
Made back in the day when Disney made family movies.
I love the fact that they include a Blu-ray, a DVD as well as a digital code (aka Multi-Format). I prefer to watch movies using physical media however, the digital code did work even though it was expired by a few months. You can use the Disney app on your iPhone, or iPad and the movie can be shared with iTunes as well. Very convenient.
The quality of the Blu-ray is fabulous, vastly superior to streaming.
A timeless masterpiece that children and adults love just as much as the day it came out.
